Our Story

 We make games

Hey!

Not Rocket Science was born out of frustration with traditional learning methods. We wanted to make learning engaging and collaborative, leading to the creation of board games, card games, and activities designed to build future work skills. Our mission is to bring hands-on learning back into the workplace. We focus on developing the personal skills needed for the future, like curiosity, creativity, analytical thinking, and communication.

 Our Experiences

Not Rocket Science was created to tackle the boredom and isolation of traditional training methods. We believe that the future of work isn’t just about technical skills but about fostering curiosity and creativity. We faced challenges in making learning both fun and educational. Through extensive testing, we developed games that people love to play and learning modules that create discussion. Our flagship game, "Props & Polish: A Lunar Escape," builds a proactive feedback culture, where we encourage a culture of pulling feedback, not just pushing.

We have made dozens of games already. Some fully playable and others are probably better described as concepts. We then speak to leaders and industry experts to determine what the most crucial skills that will be needed in the future. We then consult leading educational experts to guide and adapt the appropriate game into an awesome learning experience.

 Our Learning Guardrails

1. Together

2. Hands On

3. Enjoyable

Ever wondered why we went with a space theme? Here’s the story: We were deep into creating Props & Polish but found ourselves struggling creatively. Nothing we came up with quite hit the mark—until we looked to the Apollo 11 mission. That mission was remarkable, with astronauts and their ground teams operating under immense pressure, where mistakes could mean life or death. We realised there’s no better analogy for the skills needed in the workplace of the future. In an environment where precision, teamwork, and innovation are crucial, the Apollo 11 mission became the perfect inspiration for our games.

 Our Mission & Vision

Get your team to the moon. We’re all about shaking up the way people learn at work. We want to make learning something you actually look forward to by bringing it back to the basics—hands-on, fun, and collaborative. We create board games, card games, and activities that help build the skills people really need for the future, like curiosity, creativity, and strong communication. Our goal is to make learning simple and enjoyable for everyone, with no complex setups or long-term commitments, just valuable experiences that help teams grow together.

We see a future where learning at work isn’t a chore but something that sparks excitement and curiosity. We want to be the go-to for companies that want to build a culture where people are always learning and improving. Imagine a workplace where every team member has the tools and opportunities to succeed because learning is engaging and rewarding. That’s the world we’re working to create, one game at a time.

Our Promise

 Space belongs to everyone

We believe in empowering the next generation of explorers. That’s why 5% of every purchase goes directly towards helping young women break into the space industry. By partnering with organizations that promote STEM education, we’re not just inspiring curiosity—we’re fueling the ambitions of future astronauts and engineers, ensuring they have the tools they need to lead in the world of space exploration.
