We have all been in that performance review when we received Polish and thought, "Where was this 6 months ago?". Pulling Polish can eliminate those sticky situations.
2. PUSH THE PROPS
Don't just say good job.
Well delivered Props can affect the trajectory of someone's growth the same as good Polish, but only if it is meaningful.
3. RETURN THE FAVOUR
What did they actually do?
If we are going to be asking for feedback for ourselves, we need to know how to return in kind: with the correct language.
